Purfleet Community Pantry Mural with START Thurrock

Our community mural project for Purfleet, with local charity Start Thurrock, significantly enhanced the local environment by transforming the large exterior blank walls into vibrant and captivating mural art that truly reflects the area's unique culture and rich history, such as the old gunpowder magazine that was situated nearby and the local RSPB site. In collaboration with Start Thurrock and local residents we were able to create a mural design that captures the local community as a whole, and specifically incorporated their ideas into the final painted exterior mural. Through a series of mural workshops and community engagement, the locals came together when designing and painting the mural, creating a lasting tribute that honors Purfleet's heritage and embodies its spirit of unity. This community mural project encourages creativity and fosters a deep sense of pride within the community. The exterior mural not only beautifies the estate but also tells a story about the community, allowing local voices to be heard, appreciated, and celebrated.
