Our Process

  • Kirsty & Brittany from K&B Design sitting in their studio in front of art supplies and spray paint cans, smiling at the camera.

    1. Get in Touch

First step is getting in touch with us! We begin by learning about your space, your vision, and gathering details such as size of wall and time frame. From there we set up a call and if needed a site visit.

  • A digital device displaying interior design ideas with rainbow-colored painted accent walls, next to sample paint swatches in various shades of green, and a white BRITANNY'S Apple Pencil resting on the swatches.

    2. Initial Meetings & Moodboards

We then arrange a call or a site visit, sharing moodboards to understand what styles and visuals you are after.

  • K&B Design's studio / creative workspace with a wall decorated with colourful artwork and posters. Kirsty is sitting at a desk, working on a computer. The desk has laptops, notebooks, and various supplies.

    3. Quote & Deposit

After meeting and initial discussions, we send across our quote. If this is approved we then send a deposit invoice, for 20% (of the total mural price) and our contract before we start designing.

  • K&B Design's collection of paintbrushes of various sizes and shapes, many with colorful bristles, arranged together in a container.

    4. Time Frame

Once deposit and contract is settled, we will work out a rough time frame. Penciling in painting days and when designs will be sent etc.

  • Brittany using Apple Pencil, iPad and procreate to create a colourful mural on a tablet, with markers and a smartphone on a desk.

    5. Designing

Next we start designing for your space with all the details previously given! First we send across our initial designs, we usually like to send 2 or 3 different ideas to see which you prefer. After gathering feedback we send across a 2nd draft and once again amended if needed with feedback before finalising the design.

  • K&B Design's Kirsty & Brittany on a scissor lift painting a colourful mural in Ipswich for the wild walls mural festival. On the mural is a butterfly, a peace sign, a message in a bottle, and abstract shapes.

    6. Mural Installation

After the design is all approved we are ready to paint! Ta da your wall is now a mural! :) And finally after installation we invoice remaining amount.
