FatFace X London Pulse - Netball Court Mural

We gave the netball court at Eastbury Community School a big burst of colour — and the students had the lead.

Working with FatFace and the London Pulse, we teamed up with Year 7–9 pupils for a hands-on mural project. First, the girls got stuck into a fun netball session with the London Pulse head coach. Then they watched how bodies move on court, experimented with shapes and gestures, and turned those motions into lively sketches.

Ideas flew around during brainstorming, then the group literally chalked their favourites straight onto the court. Every pupil added their own twist, picked a standout concept, and helped refine it, building a vibrant mix of movement-inspired shapes.

We took those student-led sketches, blended the best bits into one bold composition, and painted the mural over the summer holidays. The result is a joyful, pupil-driven piece that celebrates play, teamwork and local talent — and the students can spot their own ideas every time they step on court.
